Hi. My husband and I lost our terrific Goldendoodle last year. We are considering adopting a young (not puppy right now) doodle. We'd love any leads you could provide. We live near Philadelphia PA, but travel to NY and western Mass
periodically.
I have a breeder in Otis, Mass. that had great pups but they are labradoodles--I don't think that matters much. My friend has a goldendoodle who couldn't be more like my labradoodle. Same personality, too. If you wold like her website, email me at vnightingale@yahoo.com and I will fill you in. There are also MANY doodles available for rescue. You can get in touch with Doodlerescuecollective.com to see if there is a young one available.
Don't forget IDOG Rescue too! Both the DRC and IDOG are the main doodle rescue organizations for the USA.
With both of those places, as well as any local rescues for poodles or goldens or all breeds, BE SURE you fill in your application BEFORE the right dog gets there as most rescues will contact those will applications on file before they 'advertise' the dog to the public.
Did you see the recent post about a 3 mo. old goldendoodle pup in Myrtle Beach that is at an animal shelter? Guess that is a bit far for you--but check it out anyway!
