LOST LABRADOODLE IN NEW YORK CITY!

PLEASE HELP BEAU!--LOST LABRADOODLE IN NEW YORK CITY

Beau is a 14 month old, cream and apricot colored, Miniature Australian Labradoodle. He is neutered, is 23 lbs. and was wearing a red collar with a NYC Rabies Tag # 0125 from Washington Square Vet. He bolted from his home in lower Manhattan on 4-30-10 and last seen in the vicinity of Canal Street and the North Tribeca area.

Beau arrived at his new home from Oregon just the week before. He is scared and unfamiliar with his surroundings and is unaccustomed to the sounds and activity of the city. He responds to gentle coaxing and his 2 names Beau/Justin.

His owner is FRANTIC! and says:

"I was on the second floor of my townhouse on Friday morning April 30 when my house guest left for work. Beau must have heard the door open; because he bolted down the stairs and out the doorall in a matter of seconds. I ran down Seventh Avenue after himas did several young workman from the block, who were much faster than I. I stopped searching in the vicinity of Canal Street where I received too many conflicting reports as to which way he had headed."

"Several people phoned about seeing Beau in the vicinity of the First Precinct on Varick (?) and Erickson Place . Their respective time frame all matched. One woman called me to say that she actually ran downstairs to catch him but by the time she got to street level he had vanished. She claimed that an hour later she saw a woman over 50 walking what she believed was Beau on a leash. Several other anonymous callers placed Beau in that exact location."

Reward signs have been posted from Duane Street up to 11th Street in Greenwich Village with the heaviest concentration in north Tribeca where he was last seen. Local animal welfare authorities, the police and veterinarians in the surrounding areas have been notified to keep a look out for Beau.
