Manscaping

My 9-week-old f1 goldendoodle has a 2-inch "tail" of hair growing from his willy (trying to be PC).  Because he is white, it looks like a long yellow paintbrush. I'd really like to give it a trim, but I don't want to deface his manhood if it's supposed to have hair.

Thoughts?

I use the correct terms also, however I just had a horrid thought.  What if, someone started a discussion asking what you call your male dog's parts?  UGH!   But I do see one in our future.

When our daughter was in daycare at the ripe age of 3 they were standing playing Simon says, they were running out of body parts so Nicole said Simon said touch your vagina - that went over well - the teacher couldn't wait to call me laughing.

When I trim the tip of the penis, I put a comb up against the tip and trim along the comb so that I don't acccidently cut the skin.

I do the same thing for both doodles when cutting near any delicate parts or close to the skin but with fingers protecting them.

I would be scared to death of cutting it off unless Bexter was sleeping!  I am glad I get him groomed regularly.  I guess I've never had to worry about that.  He must be a hairy little guy if his hair is already that long since he's just a baby!
