Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

This should be under the heading of NOTHING TO DO WITH DOODLES, but since I want EVERYONE to see this, and to justify being on the main Forum, there is a picture of Marley doodle included. Sneaky, I know.

As some of you may know, I retired in November for two big reasons, well actually three. One was my parents moved accross the country to live closer to us so we can care for them and two, our daughter was having twins.

Well, our darling twins arrived this past monday morning, at 39 weeks gestation, which is very rare, only 1% of twins make it to that ripe old age. They were delivered by a midwife, both vaginally and both went right to mom and right to breast as we all had hoped.

So, of course I have pictures. Here are Maddox 6#10oz and Kai - 5#8oz, both 19 1/2 inches long

Kai is smaller and 14 minutes younger

Mom and Dad with their boys

The boys checking things out on the safety of mommys chest.

Marley doodle is on baby patrol once again. He is Michele's faithful companion during every feeding and sits by the boys day and night. When one crys he gets up and gives them a sniff, as if to check things out and tell them "It's okay, I'm here". Adorable.

"You can lean on me big bro." I may be little, but I am strong!" And he was the one always kicking and stretching the whole pregnancy. BIg Brother is a bit of a laid back kinda dude.

And this is my adorable granddaughter , Logan, who wants to feed her baby "mommys' milk too". This is all she knows and was breastfed for 2 1/2 years. This is a Lactation Consultants dream to know that this is her legacy, passed down for 2 generations now. I'm sure she will give her real babies real mommys milk someday.

Congratulations, Sue!  How perfect....such a beautiful family!

This is front page news worthy for sure!! Congratulations on this glorious blessing. You daughter looks like she could step onto the runway she is so beautiful. And after delivering twins!!

Thank you Judy and Jane. BG, one friend said it should be illegal to look that pretty after just delivering a baby, let alone twins!!!! She is one of those rare beauties, inside and out and always has been. Thank you!

This is what she looked like at 8 months pregnant with our little Logan.

Not pregnant with Logan obviously, pregnant with the twins. geez. Lack of sleep here.

Gorgeous. Must have good genes ;)

A big congratulations to you and your family. How exciting to have twins!! Love all the photos.

39 weeks and two vaginal deliveries?! Wow- what a rockstar! The babies are beautiful and so is sweet Logan. I am a maternal/newborn RN so I just love hearing about wonderful stories such as this! Congratulations!

Stephanie, you know all too well what the odds are against either of those things happening, 39 weeks and Vag.!

I had been holding my breath from 32 weeks on until about 36 and then thought, Geez she might just go all the way! Not that it was easy, but she is a trooper.

Everytime an OB at her Midwives office saw her they'd ask when she wanted to be induced or schedule a C/S!!!! Her well rehearsed response was "What would the medical indication be for that, Dr?"  Never did get an answer, surpise, surprise.

Thank you Stephanie.

So very happy for you (and for all breastfeeding advocates, of which I am one). Brilliant pictures and gorgeous gorgeous babies and Marley lying there taking care of them is a lovely image too. Look at Logan feeding her baby just as nature intended too!   Many many congratulations to all of you :)

Thank you Nicky, it does my  heart good to see that Logan only knows that this is the way babies are fed.

Beautiful post--beautiful babies. And I love Marley's tender response to the babies crying.
