Matilda makes the local news as a therapy dog!

I went to our local University yesterday with Matilda to participate in a Therapy dog session at the school--about 8 dogs participated and the students come to visit with the dogs and relieve their stress over finals--it has gotten to be very popular since we started doing this about two years ago and is well attended.

Yesterday, the local news photographers and someone from the TV news channel were there and this picture of Matilda was in the Albany NY paper this morning. Last night, Mattie was on the TV news for just a second as they panned the room full of dogs and students....

As it turns out, three of the dogs were doodles--two goldendoodles were there in addition to my mini labradoodle. They make great therapy dogs! The woman nearest to me is very active in Doodle Rescue Collective and has adopted two of the rescued doodles, so doodles were well represented at the event!
