Mature Weight?

At what age do they settle into their mature weight?

I think it really all just depends on the dog and the parents...
Vets will mostly say at a year old, but depending on the size it can be sooner...then again I've been around great danes that continued to grow after a year...

We were told one year-Myla had the shortest little legs and I believe she kept growong after a year, she added the weigh and her height almost caught up to Chloe's/si I guess it depends on the dog and their parents.

Seems about 18 months is when they have grown all they will. They slow down around 8-10 months and then slowly grow for the next year. I have read 2 years or more too though

Rosco was pretty much done with his weight at 8 months.  But...in the past couple of years (he's 5 y.o. now) he's put on 10 pounds.  So, they will probably very close to their final weight by a year.  He's also a large dog (90-95 lbs).

Good question.  Both of mine were very skinny until 18 months old. It was AFTER that, the mature weight was showing up.  Spud, for almost a year had leveled off at 50lbs.   He is now 58.  Starlit was weighed in March.  At that time she was 60lbs and 17 months old.  I have no idea what her weight is today but she has BOOMED to over 70lbs!  She is H U G E! 

I believed it was pretty accurate around a year. Most find this to be true.  Not for us.

Peri reached hers at a year, but she is a mini.  Also, I have been super diligent about her exercise, feeding portions and treats.  Vet said she was great at 25# so I am doing everything to keep her there. Better slim than overweight, especially for this breed with hip issues.

Ned was 26.something pounds at about 8 or 9 months.  He stayed that weight until recently. At age three he weighs a pound more.  He also began eating more recently.  I think I will need to begin to monitor his weight soon to make sure he doesn't gain too much.
