Max's Big Day

Max went to a birthday party yesterday, his first time around lot's of people and lot's of dogs. We have a "celebrity" doodle on Sanibel named Lily, her owner owns Lily's jewelry store. They set up a tent outside and have dog cookies & people cookies and and our little local newspapers are there taking pictures. I think every type and size dog was there from a precious little 3 lb cutie to 160 lb gentle giant.
I was pleasantly surprised how well behaved Max was. I think he was a little overwhelmed!! The dogs just did their butt sniffing thing and all was well - not one fight and no barking!!
There were several prizes to be raffled all to benefit a local animal rescue and we won a huge basket of toys donated by island paws a local pet store.
We stayed about 2 hrs and when he got home he drank some water and crashed. Very tired puppy :-)

Sounds like you both had a great time. That gift basket looks pretty awesome and I'm sure Max will enjoy it. I want to get another doodle in the future that looks just like Max. He is adorable.

Lucky Max, congratulations on your win! It looks like you will be quite busy with all those toys! Glad you had fun, too. I recently was at a doodle romp and won the grand prize- a painted portrait of my doodle, Lucky. It does feel good to win!

Hi Sandy!
Max looks sooooo adorable! He is so handsome and to think Max and Echo are cousins! I saw pics of Max on Tampa Bay's website! That basket is bigger than Max! How fun!!! You should be proud of how he behaved as I don't think Echo is there yet but we are working on it!!!
