I've got a DOG medical question. My Dude's been trying to pee very often with nothing coming out the past 2 days & today I saw drops of blood coming from his peepee area. Could it be a UTI??? Anyone ???

I brought Gus to the vet today & they took a urinalysis & a culture. I'll find out the resluts for 1 test tomorrow & the other in 3 days. THe Dr said males dont usually get UTI's so its most likely a stone. He seems better today & hasnt been urinating any more freq. so I'm thinking he may have passed it already. I'll let everyone know when I get the relusts. Thanks for all the concern!

Thanks for the update. I know many of us were as concerned as you. Glad it appears to be nothing too serious....Poor lad...those stones are very painful to pass....as per many of my two-legged patients in the ER. I am sure it is just as painful for our furkids except they don't have access to morphine....
