Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Mr. Handsome is now ready for his new forever home! He is one awesome doodle and I adore him! Bolt is a Goldendoodle with a wool coat that sheds very little. He will be four years old in December. This handsome dood is approx. 25 in. at the shoulder and weighs approx. 70 lbs. He has gained several pounds since he's been with us but the vet feels he could gain just a couple more pounds to be at a good weight for his size. He loves rides in the car, swimming, wrestling with his foster sister, chasing squirrels and giving big wet sloppy kisses in the morning to all of us, including Sheba and Duke. He has started to catch frisbees and loves to chase balls. Most times he plays his version of fetch -- throw me the ball and chase me to get it back. Bolt is wonderful in the house and there is no need to crate him, he has complete run of the house. Bolt is a happy boy and his tail is always wagging. He has loads of energy and needs plenty of exercise. He walks nicely on a leash and loves to be close to his people. He would do best in a home with no cats or small dogs. He could be an only dog but would enjoy the company of another dog that is around his size with an easy going personality.

Bolt came from a family that had a very busy lifestyle and he was left alone for hours each day either in the house, garage or outside. He was underweight and pretty boney. Due to his poor nutrition and a very bad case of hookworm his coat was very dry. His ears were packed with hair and he had an ear infection in both ears along with an upper respiratory infection. sHe is a smart boy and figured out how to unlatch the gate to his yard. He had free run of the neighborhood, at times, which wasn't so great as he had not yet been neutered. He needs a fenced yard with at least a five foot high fence with a very secure latch. Bolt is now neutered, microchipped, up to date on his shots and feeling much better. His coat is growing in much softer with good nutrition and supplements.

Bolt is being fostered in Lima, OH and soon his profile will be posted through the Doodle Rescue Collective. If you'd like to learn more about this handsome boy, feel free to send me a personal message here on DoodleKisses.

Wow, what a handsome guy.  Thanks so much for fostering him Ann.

Thanks for fostering Bolt. He is a beautiful dog and I hope he finds a wonderful home. BTW, I love the name Bolt :)

Bolt is going to make some lucky family very happy!  Thanks for all that you have done for him!

Love!

Thank you so much for fostering this lovely boy, Ann. This photo is just gorgeous! He reminds me of Spud and Knox. He's a gorgeous doodle and sounds like a great dog for an active family.

I've met Bolt! I can attest to the fact he is very good natured, fun, needs someone to play with, and is extremely gentle!!!
During Bolt's 2 day visit he was a total gentleman, even when Spud was not very nice to him at times, Bolt held his own and handled cranky Spud by just ignoring him. I don't know what was up with Spud, maybe he thought his beautiful Sheba found a new man.
Spud eventually stopped trying because how can you pick at a dog so nice. Buds they became. Bolt bothered nothing in my home. Ann is right he is fine - no crate needed Bolt has an adoring love for humans, seems to be well adjusted no matter where you take him. We put him on a boat and he loved the ride. He played nice in our yard and never tried to escape the fence. I'm thinking he just went looking for some love in that old yard. If you stay and play, he won't have any reason to leave. He just LOVES humans and dogs
Bolt is a wonderful Happy Scooby Doo, who settles nicely but just wants to be part of the pack!! NICE DOG!

I wish I could come get him!  To me (maybe it's wishful thinking) he looks alot like Knox.  Sounds like he is the exact same size.  I've never measured Knox's height, but he is close to 70 pounds.  I could have twins, lol!

He looks just like Knox. Go for it Doris

Sounds like a fun plan!

What a beautiful boy!  Thanks so much for fostering.

Love the pictures! He looks and sounds like an amazing dog. Someone is going to get a real gem! Thanks for giving him a chance to find them!

Bolt, and I love the name, is really a beautiful big guy.  Thank you for fostering him, Ann and Mike.  He sounds like a wonderful Dood for some lucky family.  Doris, you should take a road trip and grab this gorgeous guy!
