Hi all,
I am interested in getting suggestions for mentally stimulating dog toys that can be left with your dog when you are not home to help keep them occupied. I have seen quite a few that are to be used under supervision, but am hoping some of you might have some recommendations for those that are safe to be left. We already have and love the everlasting treat ball but are hoping for some possibly more challenging toys along those lines.

Thanks!

Bentleys loves his tug a jug..squirrel dude..hide a bee (http://www.amazon.com/Kyjen-Hide-Puzzle-Plush-Interactive/dp/B0002I...), we have a few others he hasn't tried yet..as they are xmas gifts. :) all of the above he does well with when supervised or alone
Guinness had one like this, and he chewed it to pieces in a day. He had the squirrel and the birds. All destroyed. I guess it depends on how much of a chewer your dog is, but I couldn't trust Guinness unsupervised with these toys.
Wow! And I thought we had a big time chewer! He's had it for a few months now..but is pretty delicate with the bees..he prefers tossing them in the air and catching them. It's one toy that he chooses not to destroy I guess!
Mine chewed up the tug-a-jug. Still nibbling on the top because they don't seem to swallow the pieces.
Well stuffed Kongs are great mentally stimulating toys. If the Kong stuffing is somewhat difficult for you to get out then it will be a perfect challenge for your doodle.
...and I've found that freezing the stuffed kong works well to make it last even longer.
This is the best. It takes Lucy a LONG time to get all of the stuffing out of it when frozen
oooo Never thought of that diane, thanks!!! I'll try that!
Good question! I am looking forward to reading responses.
I put peanut butter or left over mashed potatoes in Wilsons kong and freeze it...seems to last a lot longer and keeps his interest!! Good luck!!
Very excited to see this question and I look forward to seeing all the responses. I would like something that will stimulate Callie so she doesn't eat my blinds any more!
I still recommend crating her when you're out.
