Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I'm in Nashville, TN and I keep an eye on the possible doodles in area non-rescue shelters.  I have family in Michigan so I keep an eye on that area also.  Here is a labradoodle listed in the Gladwin, Mich shelter.  The fee is $20 + spay/neuter cost.  This boy is young and looks like a treasure.

Have any of the rescues tagged him?  If not, surely a Michigander needs another, even temporary, doodle.  I grew up in Mich & I know we love our dogs :-)

Aw, Suzann, thank you so much. Gladwin is adorable and you are his very first angel.
I hope his meeting with R & B goes well. Can't wait to hear about it!
Gladwin is just gorgeous! I can't wait to see his shave-down pictures, shameful as they might be hehehe :) He sounds so loving - some family is going to get super lucky.
Thank you SUZANN, you are so wonderful!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FIRST RESCUE!!!

The heart shakes a little. That first 48 are stressful but then love sets in and routines become easier. Will be certainly following this story. Can't wait to see more pictures and hear more stories.

I think we are going to spell it in the "olde english" way......

"Gladwyn"
We like the"Y".
Gladwyn is nice. I thought this was the old Greek way? Oh, Italian--that's it.
Jennifer he looks wonderful. Thanks so much for rescuing and fostering him.

to the world you are someone...to someone you are the world.... and right now you are Gladwyn's world!
UPDATE PART II, GLADWYN THE WONDERDOG! So this guy, was found stray, living with a basset hound, who was also adopted today. But we (DOODLE KISSES & DRC) rescued Gladwyn. He is a phenomenal dog. He is obviously just lost his way. Rosey and Bandit keep trying to teach him to be a BAD DOOD but he is not falling for it. He was pulled from a shelter, matt infested, burr infested, flea infested, dirty, but came out wagging his tail. I thought I could just cut some matts out but he needed the shave... So off to the vet, within one hour he had a total new look and many more friends. He loves to cuddle, walks on a leash, know to sit, stay, laydown. He also does TRICKS!! Here are the updated photos, full blog and story of the rescue to follow, but if I could keep him... I would!

He's off to his permanent foster tomorrow. PAWS crossed he finds the perfect family one with at least one dog and kids would be great! If you or someone you know are interested please contact Myself, Adrianne or fill out an application at
