Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

OK, I guess I need to start this discussion with admitting that I should be more informed on this subject.   I did get Chewie microchipped so that if he ever got lost (god forbid), we would have a much better chance of getting him back.  I have been reading these posts lately about these poor lost doodles and read the comment that " The microchip info was up to date".  I just assumed that once it was done that is it.  How do you keep the information up to date?  Sorry I am "sneaking" on doodle kisses from work right now and do not have my paperwork to look at.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks !!

Home Again requires a small annual fee.
We had Duke fixed at the spca and it was mandatory to have the microchip imbedded, Home Again. They said we could go on the web site and update. There is a fee, but the chip is good for like 20 years I think they said. Our vet tested it when we went back for his last puppy shots.
I have Home Again too. They keep the info. But, after the first year there is a fee for some of the additional things their site provides. My dog will always be covered but. I won't pay the fees after the year.
