Everyone okay after the storm?  Wondering about our Illinois friends (Karen?).  Stormy and windy here with winds reaching 100km but no tornados and so far no big damage here(touch wood) but keeping a close eye as the winds howl around the house.

After a day of doing practically nothing at work, I'm going to go purchase some things to donate.  At least then I will have accomplished something today.

I bought my stuff to donate tonight. A few things for humans, but more things for dogs. My money would have gone further if I could have settled for cheap food, but I couldn't do it. So a few displaced pets will be well-fed. Throughout the day, several pets and owners were reunited, but I just saw a post about a little yorkie mix being found deceased in the rubble of his home. Poor little guy. I'm just going to sit here now with Halas and Barley snuggled up on either side of me.

You can donate to Red Cross, and indicate that it is for central Illinois tornado relief.  Instead of donating money, I'm buying pet supplies and things for clean up, and taking them to the places that need them.  I like knowing that my donation is going where it needs to.  So if you want me to buy some items on your behalf, I'm happy to do it.

At least they found him and got some closure.  I remember when I was young and my cat went missing.  I searched for him for days until someone told me he had been hit by a car.  The not knowing and worrying was way, way worse than the reality.
