There are a couple of breeders doing that already (the OES poodle mix) but I don't know about their reputation. I'm sure what she'll get in the first cross will be similar to what you get in the first cross of any mix: a variety.
Please dont listen to the negative comments on mini bernedoodles. Mini bernedoodles are breed typically from an f1or f2 bernedoodle breed back to a mini poodle. Therefore mom is smaller then a bernese mountain dog. I know 2 breeders one in canada and one in pa. Swiss ridge i think is the canadian breeder and PD bernedoodles is in PA Website for PD bernedoodles is bernedoodlepups.com and for swiss ridge it is bernedoodles.com i believe. google them you will see. I know the breeder in pa well and have seen many of there bernedoodles they are wonderfull. Im sure swiss ridge is just as nice i just cant say on a personal level. Any qs let me know.
Megan, posting breeder recommendations, websites, and reviews are prohibited here in the forum. It's also a little odd that not only is this breeder in your town, but she also has a goldendoodle breeding business under the same name as the website you listed as yours on your page here.
That "PD" stands for "Plantation Delight".
Here is one article from the internet about this kennel:
And another article on this "kennel": http://plantationdelightpuppymill.weebly.com/
And another one: http://disc.yourwebapps.com/discussion.cgi?disc=141437;article=370619
(Discusses the dogs with H.D. from this "kennel".)
And here's an article from today's newspaper! : http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/pets/Is-Dog-Law-violating-the-do...
"Or consider Plantation Delight kennel in West Grove, a breeding facility and dog day care center. That kennel received warnings in each of five inspections in 2011, including for cages that were too small, rodent infestation, poor ventilation and for mixing adult dogs with nursing mothers and mixing intact females and males in the same cages."
I could post dozens more, but you get the idea. Sounds like a great place to get a puppy.
And of course, we usually are also trying to spare a person from the emotional and financial issues that those of us who are living with unhealthy puppy mills dogs suffer, although in this case the OP did not appreciate that.
If you search the state website it states that the kennel voluntarily closed down BUT at the website listed above the same owner and address are listed as currently providing puppies. Doesn't that make this an unlicensed kennel per PA law?
If you do a search, just type in the city name to see last issued license for anything other than boarding.

That's what puppy mill operators do; when they get closed down, they reopen under a different name. The inspectors are always one step behind them.
Have you actually been to Plantation Delight? You might want to visit a place before you pass on negative info that is untrue. First of all Plantation Delight had a commercial kennel license they choose not to breed in a commercial setting bc the rules and regulations for comercial kennels do not consider the welfare of the animals. So if they were to sell a puppy it is not against regulation as long as they stay under the legal amount of puppies sold a year. Also the information given in state inspections is not forth coming either. So visit a kennel before you bad mouth. Btw the person talking about HD had taken there dog to get tested for hips 3 days after giving birth. It The state reccommends that hips not be tested until weeks after weening puppies. It only makes sense bc the hips widen for moms to give birth. I write this to you bc i bought my dog at Plantation Delight and i visited several times and a few times un announced and never did i find any of the negative remarks to be true.
Thanks for the info, but the newspaper articles, the PA dept of Agriculture reports, and numerous stories from owners, some of whom are known to us here in the close-knit doodle community, are enough red flags for any sensible person to stay away.
YOU are hardly a reliable source, since you listed the P.D. website as your own, right on your page here. So clearly, you have a vested interest in this breeding program. And for someone to join this website and immediately within minutes find an discussion from two months ago and post a glowing recommendation...well, I'll let your actions speak for themselves and let people draw their own conclusions about your motivations.
IF you had read the Guidelines of this site before jumping in and posting your plug advertisement recommendation for this breeder, this discussion would have remained inactive and none of the negative information about this extremely questionable "breeder" would have followed. Didn't help drum up much business, lol. A great example of "let sleeping dogs lie".
For the record, we got our Joey from Plantation Delight. Karen, you've been SO helpful to us from the beginning of us joining doodlekisses. We did a ton of research and we even went ON site to pick up Joey. There were no red flags that we saw. This goes to show that even people with the best of intentions get dupped.
Now we have a dog with major behavioral issues. We've been working with her since day 1. We see what I call a "therapist" for $350 an hour. She's actually an animal behaviorist. It also turns out that Joey has allergies and we've also spent countless hours and funds trying to pinpoint what she is allergic too.
Joey is GREAT dog. We love her to bits and pieces and would never replace her. That said, we did so much research to try to get a healthy dog from a good breeder and we totally failed. I never thought we would be conned like this. And it does break my heart and we have a puppy mill dog :(
