A DRC dog, Zsa-Zsa, newly adopted by a Mount Vernon family, bolted from the yard Saturday within an hour of arriving from the transport!!!! She is 45 lb, very timid, wearing a pink collar, is NOT wearing ID tags, since family still has those in the transport envelope!!!! She is probably hungry. She will run if chased.
She was last spotted at the scout camp in Bronxville, NY, 2 blocks west of the intersection of midland avenue and pondfield. All volunteer efforts on foot and by bicycle is greatly appreciated.
The local authorities have been alerted.
If spotted, you may gently coax her with food, and keep her in your sights, follow at a distance. She is very frightened, and doesn't know the area. Call DRC at 917-439-6403 with report of any spottings.

Oh my gosh...I am so very sorry for you and that poor rescued dog of course. You must feel awful..I know I would be beside myself. My prayers go out to all of you so that she is found and you can start the process of never-ending love. Do keep us all informed via this site. WE are sending you positive thoughts and of course, Zsa-Zsa to come home.
I hope she makes it home to her new home soon!! Sending warm wishes!!
Good Grief, no word yet. My computer has been left on and I keep coming in here to have a Look See. We are all out here praying for good word. Thinking of all of you.
No sign of her. We are heartsick!
Oh, I am so sorry.
I'm hoping that whoever finds her doen't see her as a way to make some quick money! I've been told by the rescue people out there that if it is known she is a labradoodle, she might be picked up for "value"....
Or worse...
Is she micro-chipped?
She was scheduled to be this week.
OMGoodness, what a shame. I had been looking at her on the site and thought how lucky the family will be to have her in their life. She must be so scared. Prayers for all searching for her and also for Zsa-Zsa that she is safe and will be found soon. Please let us know ASAP.
Please keep us updated. I will keep my fingers crossed for the sweet girl.

In case you haven't seen it, this is a good website about putting up posters for lost pets.

The giant fluorescent posters (put at major intersections where people have to stop for red lights) were the ones that helped find my friend's puggle. He was missing for 14 days, but was found alive and remarkably well. :)
