Mom Has A Dog of Her Own!

This little guy was found abandoned yesterday.  I posted a discussion about it  http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/abandoned

 

All of the doggy organizations around here were called, and no one reported a missing dog.  Based on how he was found, the people at animal control and the people at the vet's office also feel that he was abandoned.

 

Mom brought Halas to my work just a little while ago for a meet-n-greet with the puppy, and they did fine together.  So my mom is keeping the puppy!  I'm really excited for her.

 

We're guessing he's some kind of maltese-bichon-poodle combo.

 

Please help us think of a name.   We're Bears fans here, and my mom likes beer and baking, so I was trying to think of things along those lines.  Here are a couple of suggestions we have so far:

 

Rocket (his red rocket made several appearances yesterday)

Barley (beer related)

Bumble (Abominable snow monster from Rudolph)

Ditka (Bears)

Bud (Mom drinks Bud Light)

Perry (Refrigerator Perry from the Bears)

Marshmallow or Mallow

 

Let me know what you think of these and offer up any other suggestions.

 

He'll have a busy few weeks in front of him getting used to a new home, getting all of his shots, and getting neutered, but he seems like an easy-going guy, so I'm sure he'll take it all in stride.

I am still hoping someone uses the name " Sugar" and since he is white, well it works...sugar also works for baking!

They make an adorable pair!!!  Each of them is so lucky to have found the other!!!  I am totally in love with the name Barley!!  Ditka would be a second choice only because it is harder to say.  What a happy ending!
