Moms pup's platelets low

My mom had to take her pup to the emergency vet last night. She thought he ate a daffodil and he was throwing up and then was lethargic. After doing toxin tests they came up negative but his platelets are pretty low. They are keeping him for now to do another blood panel. Any thoughts? Mom is really upset and my daughter had leukemia so you know where our minds are headed.

Mom is taking Roarke back to the vet right now. At least it's not an after hours place this time it's our vet. He is continuously throwing up (bile) and having diahrea (bile). Still low platelets. She's pretty worried.

Our vet thinks she figured it out as Roake has very loose stool there and they did a culture. He's got clostridium. On antibiotics and whatever they do for that. He should be ok but mom made my daughters birthday cake for her upcoming party and thinks she may have to scrap the cake.

Sorry about the cake but glad the pup has something not too terrible that can be treated.

Glad it's nothing more serious. But I would scrap the cake. Better to be safe than sorry. You can get get food poisoning from it.
