Bleu is 7 months old.  Had been on Iams puppy at the breeder. Was pooping about 4 times a day, normal solid consistency.

We slowly started switching her over to Wellness Complete Puppy about two months ago.  When I was mixing the food, poop was normal.  (gradually added more new food over the course of two weeks)

Since switching to all Wellness, she has had mushy stools. Not a "pudding pile", but squishes into a mess when you pick it up.  I tried the 24 hour fast, then rice/boiled hamburger for a couple days, then back to food.  No difference.  Also, since switching to the Wellness she is pooping only once a day and LOTS at a time versus several times a day.

Also tried adding pumpkin to her food which seemed to help some with the consistency issue. But assuming it isn't great to rely on this?

Do we need to try a different food? Any advice?

Wanted to add she is acting normal. Plenty of energy. Drinking and eating normal amounts.

Amy, if you want to post this in the food group it might be easier to keep track of and you will be getting advice from people who are more experienced with these type of issues!

Amy, Like Brittney said, I would post this in the Food Group. You will get great advice there!! Nobody likes mushy poop :)

Feed Raw...that's my only recommendation...I would not feed commercial dog food to any of my dogs ever ever again.  Raw is easy and just as convenient as bagged crapple once you learn the basics...which are very basic.  Do your dog a favor, feed raw.  There are many Raw support groups that will help you get started.  This site does not have an active group for raw.
