My doodle has the most beautiful coat. I keep him long and shaggy and he is so handsome. On Halloween night, I got talked into letting the kids use ‘temporary hair dye’ on Murphy. I read the label that said it washes right out.
It is now after Christmas and I can still see that ugly orange color on his back.
Murphy is still beautiful! It gives him a special character!
It really is amazing what our human kids can talk us into! I remember when my now 27 year old wanted to put KoolAid in her hair to dye it the month before her Bat Mitzvah. I told her your story and she so glad she didn't win that one.
My grandson used the spray can on himself first. Then, thank goodness, the rest of the can didn't go too far on Murphy. They did his head and down the middle of his back.
The dye lasted through about a week of shampoos before it was completely gone from my grandson. He has dark brown hair but you could see the orange on his scalp and around his hair line.
It seemed to soak right into Murphy's white hair.
My mail man told me there was a woman on his route that used the pink "washable dye" and couldn't get it off. So, I guess I'm lucky they didn't talk me into a little fun on Halloween.
sorry to laugh, (I now see why you were posting about a haircut) but could you please post a photo of him with the dyed fur? :) He is so cute I bet he looks adorable regardless of the dye.
