Charlie had her first real grooming today. She was starting to look pretty bushy and I realized I hadn't seen her beautiful eyes in weeks. The Groomer said she was great for the bath and clipping but was very skittish with the blow dryer. I am going to work on putting it on at home and trying to get her used to it. She looks so cute!

And my what pretty eyes you have!
Charlie is adorable! Your pics are terrific -- i just love chocolate doodles!!
I love Chocolate Doodles. She is beautiful!
Thanks!!! I love chocolate doodles too. She has a few gray hairs on her back and some more on her tail. I'm hoping she doesn't turn gray. She is 6mo old right now. Does anyone know at what age their coats change color if they are going to change?
One of our doodles was so black as a pup that we could hardly get a photo of him. He very, very slowly turned gray. He was still getting lighter at age 3. He is "pewter" now. Is that a color option? Well, that's the only way we can figure out how to accurately describe his color. I was upset when he started to change color because I loved his rich jet black color, but I love his color now, too.
My Cooper was much darker at that age, and at almost 3 is a light chocolate (about the same colour as your Charlie is now). Id say Charlie will lighten alot. Usually their colour is fully developed by age 3
Daisy's coat changed from 6 months on...still changing at 2.5
She was so chocolate she appeared black. She is now what we call chocolate with marshmallow.
Oooo I just want to kiss that doodle nose!
wow she looks just like my Cocoa.
So cute
Love those eyes! Charlie looks great. And yes, start using the blow dryer around the house, she will get used to it. For some strange reason, Monty runs to check it out every time I have it on. He might be in the backyard, but always comes running into the bathroom where I'm drying my hair.
aww she looks like a baby version of my Cooper!
