Wow, this morning we woke up to about two inches of unexpected snow! I could not wait to let Myla outside! She is seven months old so this is her first sighting of snow!! We let her outside and just watched her! She slowly went to the edge of the covered deck where there was a sprinkling and licked it and then sat and watched the yard for about five minutes. She then got up, stepped off the deck and it was hilarious - she picked up each foot while sniffing the ground! Sort of looked like she was trotting in slow motion! She then started nosing the ground, as if to say "somewhere in here is the grass!" and moving snow all over! She found her ball but it was frozen in place so it took her a while to get it out! My DH threw a snowball at her and she ran to catch it but when she picked it up it fell apart and that was so funny - she just looked at it! He then threw a bigger, harder one which she picked up but immediately dropped it because it was so cold and started nosing it around but it got bigger and bigger. We watched her for over an hour (from inside, drinking a hot cup of coffee!!) - it was soo funny! Now it is melting but she is laying in the snow and does not want to come in! My DH is happy because he does a lot of snowshoeing in the winter so it looks like she will be joining him!!!
I did take pictures but it was 7:00 am and still quite dark so they didn't turn out so well! I'm sure this snow will disappear quickly - it is very early for our first snowfall, even in Canada!!!!!

Sounds cute! It's so fun to watch them discover things for the first time. She'll make a great snowshoe partner!
Awwww.... how cute :) Myla's first snow !!! my doodles LOVE the snow. They get the zoomies and with in minutes my back yard is totally trampled with paw prints all over and I love it :)
I always get my camera ready BEFORE I let the doodles out so I don't miss any good shots :)
Myla is such a cutie...I look forward to Mojos first snow.

I loved all the "firsts"....but the first snowfall was definitely one of my favorites.
