I have a six month old female doodle for which I desperately need to find a home. She's a carmel medium curly coat, approximately 45 lbs and beautiful. I over-estimated my time and ability to care for this beautiful dog. Am located in Northeast Ohio.
I am glad to hear that you were able to find her a new home. I can't imagine how difficult the decision must have been for you but it ended well with Bailey joining a new family.
OMG! That is Wonderful News for You and Bailey and the NEW PARENTS! I am happy for you all. It was so nice chatting with you by phone yesterday. I hope all goes well with you and your health. Joanne
An update...I have Bailey's papers together, have created a photo CD for her new parents and am very excited that she will be going to such a great home! I'm working on cleaning her crate and toys for the adoption. I have to be honest and say that I am crying like a little girl, but I know she is going to a great family who can give her the time and attention she needs! I am going to leave this open until I get back from Columbus on Saturday. And I will remain a member so I can enjoy her progress as well as you and your Doodles!
The fact that you are crying tells us what a wonderful person you are. This can't be easy for you. I had a friend who went thru a bad divorce. He kept his lab- but was at work a lot and knew he was not doing any justice to his dog Bailey. One day she escaped from his yard. He could'nt find her anywhere and searched for two days-so upset. He then posted pictures of her around his neighbourhood. Someone called him and said that they think they had his dog. He went right over with the intention of bringing her home. When he arrived, He found his beloved dog, but he noticed how happy she was to be with these people who had brought her into their home. They sat and talked and he left her with him as their dog. He can go and pick her up whenever he wants-and often brings her up to his parents cottage-takes her fishing for the weekend or will just go over and walk her. I am sure the new owners of your beloved Bailey will be just as accomodating. God bless you.
My big baby Bailey is with her new parents. Her new Mom has a wonderful aura and I am sure she will spoil Bailey rotten. I called to see how she was doing and she was out for a walk with Mom and her new Brother. Dad said Bailey has a wonderful personality. I am so relieved and yet so sad…missing her of course. On a brighter note, my 5 yr old bichon has a new lease on life and is out for a walk with my daughter. Once again, I want to thank everyone for your support and empathy through this really tough transition. DoodleKisses Rocks!
