As per Adina's request.... here is a place for us to discuss our thoughts on the new front page.  I am still navigating and trying to see how I like it... I will say though - that I miss having the slide show up top!

what happened to the doodlekisses logo? I just noticed that it's gone - maybe it has nothing to do with the current changes...? Thanks for bringing the slide show back =)

Nothing to do with the current changes. We lost it through some random glitch and in the meantime decided it was time to revamp anyway. We are awaiting logo development and if all goes well we shall have something new this summer some time.

Adina, the blogs somehow seem to have gotten screwed up since your experiment with changing their name; on the main page, they're listed in reverse order according to date posted, with the newest ones not even visible, and when you click on "My Blog" from the tab up top, only your blog (You, Adina) comes up!

Blog post waiting for approval. Is this new?

You can choose to monitor posts to a blog and then when someone posts a response, the blogger has to approve it before it shows up. So if you posted a response to a blog and you got that message, it means the person who wrote the blog wants to approve the posts before they show up there in public. Most people don't choose that option when they publish a blog, but some people do.

Any thoughts on why people do this. Why publish something if you're concerned about comments?

In the process of moving BACK the 'furniture' I ran outta steam and I had announced NO theme for this week since I had removed the slideshow. So... The link will return next Sunday when there's a theme again.

I'm kind of disappointed. I was so revved up for something NEW that it is like my bubble was burst to go back to the same thing. And in a way I'm glad we were on the right track all along.
