Part of my efforts in research and education is to do a ton of reading of common books on the market directed at the general public.
My most recent find is one that I felt is one of the very best books I have read so far for folks who have just gotten or is expecting to get a puppy.
My primary criteria for recommending books of this nature to general public is:
Easy to read and can be read quickly
Easy to understand.
Specific things that can be done immediately
AND it cant hurt dogs.
This book is a book that If I was writing a puppy book it would have similar information. I agree with pretty much everything - exceptions are the information about dogs outside (doodles should not be outside dogs) and halti collars (I think they have a design flaw) But over all this is a VERY good book.
Have a pup? or getting a pup? Get this book! You wont regret it.

I am getting a doodle puppy in a few weeks (finally!!!) and I just ordered this book from Barnes and Noble on your recommendation. It has been a long time since there has been a puppy in the house so I will gladly read this book! I also had a B&N coupon so that is good too! Thank you and happy Holidays!
