New puppy questions

Hi all! New puppy coming at the end August. Any recommendations for a vet in San Francisco? Also, how have ppl found a safe way to let the dog out to use the potty while decreasing chance of parvovirus (live in an apt, no backyard). I think I saw on google placing newspaper on the grass first?Thanks!

I live in an apt in a downtown area and I took a large shallow storage bin and put sod and soil in it and put it on my balcony until they had their second round of shots. That way they got used to going outside and on grass still. :) good luck!
