Newbie!

Hi everyone! I'm Mariah. New to Doodles, but not the wonderful world of dogs! We currently have Jackie, who is an 8 year old pit bull/lab/husky cross, who somehow managed to end up looking like a petite Rhodesian ridgeback. ;) She is my husband's dog and I will forever be The Other Woman.

Next up is 3 year old Banjo. He is a golden/lab/husky mix. We adopted him at 1 year old from the shelter after I "had a feeling" that I needed to look on their website. My husband hates when I "have a feeling" about an animal. ;) He's my heart and soul though. He was meant to be with us.

And our newest canine addition came shortly before Christmas. I saw her on Facebook and...you know, had a feeling. Her name is Kaia. She is, I think, a 1st generation golden doodle. She is 5 months old and we are her 4th (and final!) family already. We paid the scummy kid money for her just to get her away from the situation she was in. She was too skinny, BEYOND stinky and had no training at all. She had some moderate resource guarding issues, but with minimal work on that, plus adequate food, it is completely gone. She's put on weight, learned down/sit/shake/belly/ and we're working on stay. She's kind of perfect, really. :) Doing great on potty training too! Hasn't had an accident in days.

We also have two cats, who are full siblings, Tweak and Twirl. They are 12. I got them, and their 8 litter mates in Canada on a road trip. Someone had put the whole litter in a sealed box on the side of the road. :( I found homes for the other 8!

And we have 5 chickens, who I think my husband likes more than everyone else in the house combined. ;)

Oh! Three human boys too. Aged 18, 6 and 3.

I don't sleep very often. ;)

Kaia is a beauty.  Just a little loving is all she needed.  We all love pictures (not just of Kaia but of all of them.)  Although we are doodle oriented we love all pets.
