Our doodle, when sleeping, seems like she's having nightmares...whimpers (almost like she's crying), body/legs jump, jerks kinda like she's convulsing, all the while sleeping.....any other doodles do this?

Many do this. THere is a discussion somewhere about it. Sorry I don't remember where,

Thanks....I will search for this.
I think it was in " Does your Doodle...?" Group.
Buddy does this sometimes.  He does a high pitched whimper and sometimes little barks.  Sometimes I wake him up gently other times he just stops.
Rosco does this at times.  Definitely some kind of dream state, but it may not be a nightmare necessarily.  They might be romping or chasing their dog friends ... but who knows...if only they could tell us afterward!
Banjo does this too.  Funny little bubbling / chirping sounds and the jerky movements.   I like to think it's good dreams...chasing squirrels, etc.
Fudge just did this the other night and was so loud, she woke up Vern. I have even seen Vern sleeping and start wagging his tail. Who knows what they are dreaming of, but in Vern's case, I am sure it involved mud or a cat.
My doodle puppy, Mulligan dreams constantly.  I caught him licking something in his sleep the other day... maybe giving me a Doodle Kiss!  I think all dream.  I've had three Golden Retrievers who dreamt well into their senior years.  My Golden Murphy used to run in his sleep.  His legs would go a mile a minute.  I don't think it's necessarily nightmares either...  they definitely could be, "romping or chasing their dog friends" as Adina said.  I think it's pretty cute when Mulligan doodle does it.
Daisy does it all the time....I never thought it was a nightmare, more of an adventure, she seems to wag her tail and move her feet most of the time.

Many times Duke will have dreams where he whines, whimpers and moves his legs.  Occasionally, Sheba will. Yesterday my two doods were laying under the desk, side by side.  I heard one of the dogs growling and I was shocked because they never growl at each other, except when playing.  I heard the growl again and so did Sheba.  Her head popped up and she looked at Duke and froze.  One more growl and Sheba moved over closer to my feet.  She was really puzzled by this.

I reached down and stroked Dukes fur and he settled down.  Sheba put her head back down and fell asleep.  I kinda got a kick out of it.  Poor Sheba couldn't figure out why Duke was growling and it made her nervous.

Ive got one.  Shelby, occasionally will jerk her legs and bark in her sleep.  We just look at her and think that she may be chasing squirrels in her sleep.  I think its normal because some people do it in their sleep.  Dont worry cause I think its normal.
