Nose is Changing color?

ok guys tell me if I am going crazy, Olivers nose is changing color. It used to be dark, now it is light brown with some pink on it? When I saw it I freaked, he did not get hurt or bang it or anything like that, is this normal?....He is 16 mos old now....Could it be something with the food? He is eating TOTW....Somebody tell me this is normal please, or should I take him or call the vet in the morning????

It's normal, Cheryl. It's happened to a lot of our doodles' noses, around that same age. If you do a search in the forum, you'll find quite a few discussions about it.
Jack's nose went from black to brown with some pink in the center when he was about Oliver's age, too.

Has it changed texture at all or seem swollen, anything other than the colour change. Is he acting strangely like trying to rub it or scratch at it?

Hi Lorraine, no he is not doing any of the things you asked, and it is not swollen or changed in texture...So I guess he has what is referred to as Snow Nose, although we live in florida, but it does say it can happen in the warm weather too...thanks for the reply. I appreciare it

Buddy's nose was a charcoal black as a puppy and has gradually turned lighter brown also with pink on edges. I believe they call this a "snow nose" here is a link to another discussion:

Once Buddy's nose changed, it never has changed back to the really black color it was as a pup.

Halas' nose also changed from black to brown. It's closer to black in the summer, but fades to a lighter brown in the winter.

thanks Karen, that reply made me feel better. and I did read some of the discussion that u sent me. I guess it is just going to be that way, or maybe it will turn back, whatever as long as I know it is nothing serious, I am fine with it....Thanks Karen

One of my chocolate labs nose changed colors as he got older. It became rosy with black freckles. He had a cute wet nose.

Chewie's nose is also one that changed from black to brown. It seemed to change last year when the weather grew colder. I think it's something to do with less sunlight (or is it sunshine). Anyway, it matches his coloring better now...LOL.

Well we are in Florida, so there is really sunshie here a lot. Although it has been raing for about 10 days more so then usual, so maybe that has something to do with it...His nose could be green with pink polka dots and I would love him, lol, just saw this kind of like overnight, and it freaked me out...Thank you for your reply...
