I just found this on Hops' nose. Should I be worried? Looks like he was bitten by something and the skin on top fell off. When I touched it, it felt like a mosquito bite.

Rooney had THIS very thing.  The vet said "watch and wait - I bet it will go away on its own".  It took about 3 weeks and it did.  Rooney's was on his lip.  If you are worried, ask your vet but this is just what Rooney's looked like.

It looks like a papilloma. They usually do go away by themselves, but you may want to have a vet look at it to be sure that's what it is.

I would watch and wait a little while and then as the others have said if it's not better show the vet.

When Rooney got his - I was freakin out.  Right on his lip and I'm like "how ugly is that" but it did go away.  Give Hops' immune system a chance to kick in, I'm betting it will go away.

Thanks, guys! I feel a little better now. I will probably worry myself to death if I ever have kids! We'll take him to the vet. It's time for a checkup anyway.

That looks kind of like a histiocytoma.  They are common in dogs under two years and go away in 3-12 weeks.  I just went through one of these with Seda and after a needle biopsy and 90 dollar diagnosis, it was gone in four days.  They are benign.  Seda's had a rough brown top on it that she scraped off and underneath it looked just like this.

Lucy had one in the corner of her eye.  Vet said watch and wait, it will go away.  However, I still think the vet check is the right way to go.
