Obamas Have Narrowed Down puppy choice to Labradoodle or Portugese Water Dog

Sorry, I know a while back this story wouldn't go away, but check out this story that came out today on the Huffington Post. Apparently, Obama said something this morning on ABC.

If you go to her page and ask her...she'll readily admit that she does NOT want Obama to get a doodle and wasn't necessarily trying to sell the doodle.

I just watched the Fox clip - there is NO WAY that Samantha would have been that well behaved. Had she been there - NO ONE would ever think if getting one - maybe that is a way to stop the puppy mills!! Don't get me wrong - she IS perfect except when around new people. She thinks that every human was put on this earth to play with. What an awful trait (LOL)!!!

Yikes, how about the quote or misquote about them not being high energy and getting by on a 30 minute walk? or about her dogs lying around for 3 days and they are fine? I don't think I"m in the minority that my doodle loves and requires much more exercise than that to be "a good doodle day" for my household.
Anyone else have an opinion on the high or low energy levels of the doodles?

it depends on the dog. Mine do fine even on days they don't get walked. but in general I think I would expect the average doodle to need considerable exercise.

OH Doodle is med energy. I think he has that from the poodle in him. he can only actually stand 20 or so minutes of good playing running around then he is ready for nap. Our doodle LOOOVES Naps and bedtimes lol

Samantha doesn't 'require' more exercise - she would love it though - if that means sshe gets to run playing ball. She can be high energy but again, only if a ball is involved.
