Obsessed with one toy?

Hi All!  Quick question for everyone.  My dog Jackson (Mini Golden Doodle) has one toy that he is just obsessed with.  He goes everywhere with it and I swear, thinks its his baby.  If he is out of the house for awhile, once he comes home and finds it, he starts to cry.  Its like this little reunion he has with it.  It is this little monkey toy we got for him from PetSmart.  It has two squeakers in it so it used to make two different sounds but now there is only one squeak left.  Sometimes we think he is communicating with us through the squeaks lol.  Like he'll come up to us and start squeaking like he's trying to tell us something.  Its just the cutest thing.  So....my question...any other Doodles out there obsessed with just one toy?  If so...what do they do with it??

On the other hand Jane it could mean that your doodles are emotionally well balanced and not a couple of cry babies that become overly attached to a stuffed animal! :)

Luca spends most of his time with his Orbee, mainly because tennis balls are not allowed in the house, otherwise he'd always be with one.  Calla doesn't get involved with toys often, she not really one to play, strange.

Murphy has his bedtime bear....he has had this bedtime routine since he was 8 weeks old and he is almost two...only at bedtime though.  Daytime his obsession is his "red bone" which he knows by name and if you ask him to get it he will go straight to it no matter what room it is in or how many other toys he passes along the way.  Funny his baby brother is in the puppy calendar with Murph's fav red bone :)

 

Wilson just wants any toy that Murphy has although he also has a bedtime racoon and also snuggles and nurses with it only at bedtime.  Seeing them both with their bedtime animals is the cutest thing ever.

lol! Parker plays with all of his buddies equally for the most part but a couple get more attention than others (Al in the picture is going to need some surgery soon to keep him alive!)...no obsession tho! lol

It's hysterical that Jackson cries when he gets reunited with his little monkey! So cute! You better stock up on those monkeys in case the first one gets destroyed by all the love it gets! haha

[Amy, Cubbie & Ollie]

Cubbie is obsessed with his Mr. Pig.  It is a stuffed toy that is pretty plain and basic, nothing special, but he LOVES it.  He has had a Mr. Pig since he was 6 months old so we are going on 2.5 years now.  We are probably on Mr. Pig version 12 because they just get stinky after a while, but he loves each and every one of them.  The store that carried them recently started carrying a different version that is blue instead of pinky/peach but after a little initial confusion, the new little blue pig has won his place in Cubbie's heart.  :)  There are many times when he will just lay with his head resting on that pig.  We usually let Ollie and Cubbie decide who gets to play with what toy (unless there is a major fight) but we try to keep Mr. Pig away from Ollie to protect that special toy from an untimely stuffie death.

I love seeing all these doodles with a favorite toy!  So sweet!

Sedona's obsession is more with the activity (playing with her yellow squeaky ball) than with a particular thing.  As a baby, she slept with her cuddle puppy and her "night-night shirt" (my husband's old T-shirt). She still has her shirt, but my usually unsentimental husband put her puppy away for safe-keeping.  We stopped buying stuffies long ago.  Sedona is a stuffy murderer - gone in seconds!

That's sweet that your DH is protecting cuddle puppy from the stuffie killer!!! My DH is very protective of Miss Kitty too. It's amazing the changes these doodles have brought about in our DH's!!!

Roo is over 4 years old and zogoflex bones are his fix.  Check out my page and you will see him with an orange one in his mouth.  He goes everywhere with one of them in his mouth.
