Obsessing about puppy name!

I get my new puppy in thirteen days and I'm trying to pick the perfect name for her!   Did all of you have a name picked out before you got your new puppy?  And if you did, did you keep that name or did you change your mind after living with the puppy for a few days?  Maybe I'm obsessing for nothing - maybe I should just stick with the two names I've picked and hope that the perfect name just comes to me when I hold her for the first time?

I had my names picked out. Luca was named for luce, Italian for light. Since the I have seen many Italians are named Luca. Calla was such a pretty white pup I had to name her after a flower.

I LOVE the name "Calla" and I never realized it was after the "Calla Lilly" - I don't think that way - I would have thought of "Lilly" and not "Calla".  Funny how minds work!!!!

We had both our names picked out before we brought our Fudge and Vernors (Vern) home. We go with food names always and Vernors is actually ginger ale, so we thought that was close enough. Maybe once you hold her, one of your names will jump out at you. I actually wanted Noodle for our Vern, but my husband said he was not going to stand outside and yell, "here Fudge, here Noodle!" LOL

Oh, so now I now what Vern stands for. When I was in the US for the first time, my friend (now DH) offered me Vernors. I took a sip and thought I was growing hair on my tongue. LOL!

LOL...I don't like it either, unless it is combined with ice cream, but my DH loves Vernors and he is the one who pushed for the name. He has never named one other pet in our life, so we threw him a bone...LOL...and now, I cannot think of any other name that would be more perfect for our Vern.
