That is a great story, sounds just like my house and my mom and dad. Mom had a little dog and he hated my dad and husband (at the time boyfriend). My dad has since passed away, in his early 50's ten years ago, but he would have been the same way and I am sure he would have warmed up to our little guy when we get him home.
Good for you, this is probably exactly what he needs. Good luck with the training hoping all goes smooth. :)

That's so great!!
Does your dad know that relocation can sometimes cause a little regression in terms of housetraining and crate training? So no matter how well you do it at your house, this little bundle of joy might have an accident at his house? Just a thought.
I love the photos!
I'm working on my dad, trying to get him to see that he needs a dog. He wants an English bulldog, though! And they already have a 13 year old dachshund.
I am happy for you and your dad and hope it works out. All puppies are a bundle of love as far as I'm concerned! It doesn't last too long and before you know it they are all grown up!
But this is a problem when people breed their perfectly good pure bred dog with very similar attributes to a poodle for really no good reason. To what end. They are not bettering either breed by doing this. Thankfully these ones got homes. I hope this "breeder" learned her lesson and leaves well enough alone and stops breeding just because she can. Sorry to rant but this is the only way to educate people against these type of people.
