hi!!! does anyone have any ideas on how to calm my crazy doodle down??!!! its too dark to take him on walks now and he is full of energy. Any ides would be extremely helpful. thanks!!!

Nylabones for strong chewers last for a long time. Training and practicing his commands tires them out also. You could do lots of that indoors.
Things that make them think can also tire them out, so maybe try some extra training or some of the puzzle toys.
You could try feeding him with a feeder ball or kong wobbler instead of a bowl for the evening meal. It takes a while and keeps the mind occupied. Mine loves to play with a tail teaser. You can even play with it in the house. I love these three items because they help with the dog's instincts. Feeder balls satisfy a dog's natural need to forage and the tail teaser gives them an outlet for their prey drive and need to chase. When a dog's primal needs are satisfied they are better behaved all around. Good luck.

why can't he go for a walk in the dark? During the winter months, our dogs would never get a walk if we only went out during the daytime. You could also put him in the car and drive to a pet friendly store (petco, petsmart, etc) and walk him around there. you could also use that time to work on some training.
