Do you let your doodle(s) on the couch or other furniture. Rosey and Bandit can get on the couch and the bed.  I love snuggling on the couch and in bed with them.  What are your doodle's rules?

Yes, isn't that wonderful!!
DH and Rosey are really cuddly too!!  It's so cute watching them!!
Both of my guys are allowed on the couch and the bed.  They cannot sleep with us all night, but they do come up for belly rubs and some quite time with us and then Oliver goes to his crate in our room, and Renny goes wherever he wants...He usually ends up in our bedroom on the floor somewhere, or on the tile in the family room or bathroom, near our room.  I know that some feel it is not good to let them on the furniture, or beds, but I guess I am just a softee that way, they don't eat or drink on the sofas or the bed, that is definately not allowed.

Murphy is allowed on the couch and the bed!  Our rule for the bed was that he could sleep in the bed whenever he was big enough to jump up and down by himself and whenever Beasley (his kitty sister who has slept in bed with me for 9 years) would allow him to.  He is so little it actually took him a long time to be able to get in bed with us.  I have to say that to be so small he sure is a bed hog though!   He is such a good boy...I don't mind him being on the furniture at all.  It is harder to clean up after my DH than it is Murphy!  LOL!

Rosey sleeps in her own bed on the floor, she is welcome on the bed and will sometimes if DH isn't home.
She LOVES that bed.  I keep thinking she needs one a little bigger and with more cushion.  Maybe for her 2nd birthday.  But this one is great cuz it's washable and they both lay in it to chew bones or kongs or whatever.
Oh boy....I'm feeling like a super strict doodle mom right now......my pups have never been on our couches.  They have been on the bed maybe about 3 times just for a morning hug.  In fact, our big guy, Seamus, who is a 70 pound doodle horse doesn't even realize that he can jump on the bed without my help lol.
If you try it you might like it!!! LOL:)
I have an 80 pound doodle horse that doesn't realize he can jump on or off the bed without help :)
Hehehehe isn't it funny when they don't know their own size?!  =)

Why do you think they call it fur-niture, lol?

I am always surpirsed by how many people don't allow dogs on any of the furniture. I'd say 80% of people who apply to adopt DRC dogs say they do not like dogs on the furniture. Some say the bed is okay, but not the other furniture. Others forbid the bed but allow everything else. Some reserve one special chair for the dog. But the majority is opposed to dogs on furniture, and some will only allow non-shedding dogs on the furniture.

JD is allowed on all the furnitiure, although he's only been given living room sofa privileges recently.

To me, part of the joy of having a dog is snuggling with him. I would hate to have to sit on the floor every time I wanted to be close to my dog. The irony of this is that I ended up with a dog who hates to be cuddled. He just likes to be near me, with his head on my lap.

LOL Karen!!  I agree, I love snuggling with my doods, Bandit is very cuddly he has to be touching me when he sleeps, Rosey is too but not quite as much as Bandit.  Although lately she seems to be more cuddly like she was when she was a pup.
