Ace has been with us for one week now. He is 8 weeks old. While my family and I are exhausted, I have to say the first week has been pretty darn good. I am realizing that especially now because, Ace has been really good with crate training. Usually, when he is down in his crate, we try not to make too much noise so that he remains quiet in there. Well, today the housekeeping service came. Despite the excess of noise with the house cleaning, Ace is knocked out. He may lift his head if he hears a loud thump, then he's back to sleep. I realize we have been fools over here trying to tip toe and whisper. Now if we can get his mouthing/nipping/biting under control and get him to alert us on his own when he needs to go out, we may actually begin to see the joy in having a puppy. :-)

Well, there is one milestone taken care of a proof again that once a pup gets used to their crate it becomes their "safe" place.  Good luck with your next milestone.

I believe the crate is their "comfort zone".  He is young and he will tackle along with you all the hurdles of Puppyhood!  They are just the best dogs and your Ace is adorable!

So far, so good. He's a baby--an adorable one. Everyone says puppyhood goes by so quickly and I'm seeing that now.

Enjoy and good luck!
