Thanks for a the welcome messages and pictures!  I have a question about my chocolate goldendoodle's eyes.  His pupils seem huge to ne sometimes. His eyes are amber colored.  Sometimes the black pupil is so large that I can hardly see the amber part.  He has been like this since we picked him up from the breeder last week.  He's about 4 months old.  Can someone with a chocolate goldendoodle confirm if this is normal?

Pupils expand in low light.  I'm sure it is nothing to worry about.  A quick check would be to turn the lights down and then shine a flashlight at his eyes and watch what the pupils do.  You should see the pupils getting smaller.  This is called PLR - pupil light reflex. 

 

Again I'm sure that you are just over observing.  He is adorable.

I agree...I think it is perfectly normal.  My GD is a Standard and she is apricot...I love her eyes!  Your baby is soooo cute.  You are going to be just like all of us and become obsessed about him...that is a good thing as far as we are concerned here on DK but out in the real world...get ready for your friends and family to think you have gone over the edge to the dark side!!!  ha ha   We Doodle people are very "special" people and you are going to love all the friends you have right here that you haven't even met.  Welcome!

Haha yes, I believe my family already think I'm crazy!  I am so obsessed with my Wilson!  And I understand why so many people have more than one! They are such sweet dogs :)

Hi! Congrats on your new pup.  Just FYI, my chocolate goldendoodle has amber eyes but one is colored differently than the other.  This was very noticable when he was a pup.  It's like there are more specks of color in one eye.  Feel free to ask anything - mine is 2 and I have a 10 month old pup and I'm still paranoid :-)  I'm more worried about my dogs then my kids - my kids don't hesitate to tell me when something is wrong but I have to guess with the dogs!
