What a great St. Pawteys Day picture. lol
Here's the brochure for the Paw Plunger. http://pawplunger.com/images/stories/pawplunger-flyer.pdf There are bristles inside, so maybe it would work for the green paws. I mostly have to worry about sand and dirt, so I just picked up the one at Target. Seems like it would be handy when you are out and about and don't want dirty paws in the car.
It would be very handy in the car. Except how wet are the paws then? So it's a toss up of sand and dirt, or dirty water soaked paws in the car. Seems you'd have to rinse and refill for every paw or so. Can't see 8 paws getting clean in one little jug of water.
The one I bought from Target came with a microfiber absorbent towel. So I just dip her paw in, shake a bit, pull the paw out and dry. It worked really well.
Yup, too many paws here too.
F. I am hoping to cut down on the "too much trouble"...
Here is a typical morning (like 6AM) at my house. Mike takes Daisy for a run while I make breakfast and lunches...they come back, get the ball and head out to the back yard, muddy, snowy, wet, doesn't matter. They play out there for approximately 30 minutes then up on the deck they come where I meet them with:
a dish pan of soapy warm water
4 quart size take out containers filled with fresh water for rinsing
a towel for drying.
This process takes about 10 minutes.
On the really muddy days I have to fill the containers x 2 and add a 2nd towel for drying under her belly.
CAN YOU SAY P.I.T.A ?
I just don't think there is any way around the PITA of dirty paws. If there was I think I would have found it by now. Seems to me if you have to use that much water to clean paws that are that muddy, this little cup of water would certainly not do the trick. But I've never used one either. And there is still the drying. Let us know how it works if you get it. I'm still thinking a hose and dog shampoo in the back yard is as easy as I can make it.
Sue, the hose and dog shampoo are the summer tools - ha ha - right now the water is off.
That is a lot of work. I generally just wipe paws with towels. If they doodles paws are really bad, i.e. they've been digging or something, they get a quick wipe and go directly to their crates. Soon they are dry and the dirt is on the bottom of the crate. Daisy is lucky to have such a long morning walk and play time daily.
So cute and what a good girl.
I dry the paws off as best I can with a towel and then put Gavin on his towel on the kitchen tile floor to finish drying while I go about the rest of my morning routine. Like F. most of the dirt dries up and falls off. Sweep the floor, towels in washer and we are all good. Occasionally he gets a paw dunk in a bucket of warm soapy water.
