For the past two days Hattie has peed while asleep during the daytime. She has never done this before. Do you think she is just sleeping really hard or has a UTI? Any ideas?

Someone else just posted something along these same lines in the past few days, or perhaps this past week.  Hopefully she is just sleeping like a log.

So true Sandy, like when the kids were little and always got the fever on friday night around 6 pm. Back in the days when Pedi's closed at 5 and had no extended hours or weekends like now.

Is she peeing more frequently? Or act or squat like she has to pee and then doesn't? I would look for those signs I'd think if it's anything like a humans UTI symptoms. Although we don't squat usually. Well maybe some people do....but that's another story.  :)

The other posts on this subject turned out to be UTI's so I think if it happens again you may be visiting the Vet.  I know UTI's are more common in females.  Do keep me updated because I will be worrying and wondering......
She is still a puppy right? I am thinking maybe UTI like everyone else said. I would take a sample in for a spin down to take a look and see. Keep us updated.
I really don't know! Just offering my moral support...
I have no advice but good luck, hope you find the answer quickly. The only thing I can add is that there are dip sticks that you can buy for humans, don`t know if they would work for dogs but when dipped in the urine they show the presence of white cells (leukocytes) and protein that indicate the presence of a UTI.

Luna did this a few times when she was little - it resolved itself by the time she was about 6 months old.

She did get some antibiotics in that time for something else though (spaying surgery) so it could be that the meds cleared up the infection while she was on them.

I believe dried cranberries are safe for dogs - you could give her some with each meal for a few days and see if it makes a difference.

I hope she's just konked out, she probably should see the vet if it happens again. This is becoming a common post. Good luck!
