My whole life, I have loved Koala Bears. When I was a kid, we had a eucalyptus tree in the backyard and I used to BEG my parents for a Koala (bear in mind this was Tennessee, not Australia so this was never going to happen). My sister forwarded me this amazing photo serious of baby Koalas and for the first time I realized that they have huge, shiny black noses, just like many doodles'! Could be where this all began...

Not everyone gets to view this type of baby as Koalas are very private

with their babies.  The mother must have died in the wild and the babies

were saved.  This was quite a feat for the wild life caregivers as the babies

need special milk to survive.  The babies normally attach to a teat inside

the Koala pouch.

LOL, my dad hates rats too. In fact, he didn't even know I had it. My mom said to put it in my room and he'd never know. He didn't... :-)
I had a pet rat too! And she was so smart, she would give kisses when you pet her behind her ears. When my kids get older I am sure we will never have a hamster/gerbil/guinea pig -- but I certainly hope we get to have a rat again :)
Never say never... I remember when my younger daughter was about 10, and her best friend and our next door neighbor (who had a small farm) had a chicken that was sick. The best friend told her that the Dad was going to kill the chicken because they don't let the sick ones live. My daughter decided she needed to save the chicken, so she brought it home. DH and I were at work, and she decided to feed the chicken some milk with a turkey baster. Well, I probably don't need to provide the details of what happened. She called me at work hysterical. As I was trying to calm her down, I asked her if there was something I could stop and get her on my way home to make her feel better. She said the only thing she wanted was a Guinea Pig. There was absolutely no talking her out of this. So we bought Woody the Guinea Pig. It was the worse mistake of my life. This guy grew to be huge, and guess who always had to clean him and his filthy cage....right.
I've been looking at the pictures all day and am obsessed!
I'll take one of each!!! :)
The baby koala bears are adorable! The red panda looks like a raccoon.

I have always been facinated with polar bears, love their habitate, their solitary behavior and their massive build. I know they can be rather vicious.

I love Koalas also!
