Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

At the front counter of my vets office there are usually postings of dog play groups, lost pets, local rescue animals etc. Today I noticed a really nice color brochure about puppy mills as well as an article on responsible breeding practices. I was thrilled and impressed! It got me thinking....

How great if every vet had these articles up at the counter, or at least posted somewhere. I can get copies of them, or maybe IDOG has or The DRRC has a link to similar articles. If all (OK, realistically many) DK members printed them out, I think most vets would allow them to be placed in the office for people to take. All you have to do is take them with you the next time you visit and ask. :o)

Fantastic idea!!
It occurred to me late last night that this may have been mentioned before by someone... Perhaps that's why it was in the back of my head, LOL. :o) Anyway if someone did or if there is a post on it I apologise.
Exellent!!!! Lets find out who published the flyer. Who distributes them ect. I would have no problem distributing them. Although at the vets it is almost too late as the pet is already in your home. Pet stores would be a good place to put them too. Community bulletin boards. Ospca's, anywhere you go.
I am so glad this vet had this done. My vet said that they would choose not to work with any breeders that they felt were unethical. Thereffore would not provide their service to a mill. I would like them to go further with telling patrons of any they have denied to provide services for. They would not have to SAY this is a mill. They could say these are premises we choose not to affiliate with. Therefore not getting sued by accusing anyone of anything. But if my vet posted they wouldn't provide service theere is no way I would use that facility and I would tell anyone interested that info as well.
