Places that are "doodle" friendly ~ stores, restaurants, etc...... Let's make a list!

Recently I found out that there are places that you can take your doodle that I never would have expected.  Awhile back we were at Cabela's in West Virginia and they have a boarding/doggie daycare for customers that are shopping.  Just a few weeks ago we were out of town and going to Bass Pro Shops in Toledo, Ohio I really didn't want to leave Hunter in our camper while we were gone but I get nervous leaving her in the car that someone would steal her.  I called Bass Pro and asked if maybe they had the same kennel area like Cabela's and I was shocked that they allowed dogs to shop with you in the store.  WOW  it was a great shopping trip, I wasn't board out of my mind walking around with my husband looking at camping, hunting and whatever else.  I got to walk Hunter around :-)

All of this got me thinking there have to be many more stores and even restaurants that allow dogs to come in.  So how about we make a list of any local or national store, etc.  that allows to bring our doodles in.

GREAT IDEA
I'll be following this discussion.
not all Home Depot's, I was asked to leave one when I was utilizing it for a little training!
Our local Home Depot had a dog bite someone so they won't let dogs in now so I guess that might vary from town to town. Lowes welcomes dogs. Petco, Petsmart and our local pet store, Phydeaux, are all dog friendly. Ace hardware loves to see the dogs. I don't know that places will be the same across the country.
Nancy -- I have an Aunt in Waynesboro that I may possibly go visit (I think that's about an hour from Richmond). Could you send me the info on the Mall you reference, as well as any other places you might know. That would be great.
Shame they don't let people who bite your head of or act they way come back!
A saleswoman at Chico's , where I was returning something, since I almost always shop online, gave us a high compliment. She told me the dogs behaved better than most kids that come to the store! And my Bank America branch has staff that go crazy when I come in with the dogs. They even crowd over to the drive in window to carry on and give the dogs too many treats!
Fashion Island, Newport Beach California, the restaurants there that have outdoor seating, and most of the stores.
REI is NOT dog friendly, and I think that stinks. If you want to buy dog stuff there you have to have your doodle wait outside and go out to try stuff on (they make you leave your ID at the counter.) All this doesn't work for me, as I am single doggy mom, so I buy my dog stuff elsewhere!

For all PDX doodles, all of the restaurants in SE that have patios are very welcoming to dogs - most even give Coop his own water bowl! Kuni BMW also LOVES dogs, they love to see Cooper when the car is in for service and lavish him with tons of goodies and attention!
I agree! They advertise as being so earthy and green and outdoorsy and sell pet items. You would think they would figure out that dog friendly would be good business. I would go there more often if I could take the dog!
Great Idea. I know that there are not too many here in Indiana, other than pet stores. I am jealous of you West Coast doodlers !!
We always take Thomas to Home Depot and Lowes with us. Especially on our way to the cottage as we always seem to have to stop there. If they said he could not come in...then bye bye, neither would we. So far so good...no one has ever stopped us. It is fun too...a crowd always gathers around us...and of course we get to show off the dood.
I was very unhappy with Home Depot, as I had been taking Webber in there for months when a very rude woman threw us out. So, I don't shop there any more. I even posted on facebook and twitter that they weren't dog friendly!! If I drive to a neighboring town, about 15 minutes away, their Home Depot lets us come in. So, it is store specific I think. It is a shame more places don't let dogs in but I guess not all owners are responsible and not all dogs are friendly.
