Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some suggestions on dog play pens for indoors (will be approx. 35lb doodle full grown). We would like to set something up for when we have to be away from the home. Any suggestions on brands or pens that work for you? Ideally we would like something large enough so we can fit his crate inside the pen and keep the crate door open so there is access to move around outside of the crate.

We purchased a MidWest Ex Pen for Tara. It was good and sturdy and worked perfectly for her. If you click the link and scroll down a bit you can see that it is possible to set the pen up so the crate is on the outside. This gives your pup extra play room in the pen. It also eliminates the possibility of the puppy climbing or jumping up on the crate and then jumping out the pen!

I cant remember the brand we bought (we sold it when Cooper was 1 1/2 as she no longer needed it ie she could be trusted) but it was a metal/wire pen, 8 panels, each panel being 2 feet wide I think. They come in different heights, we had 36 inches for a 60lb dog. It attached to Coopers crate (which is also metal/wire). im not sure if they attach to plastic crates. Having a plastic crate inside wouldnt give much space, though I guess you do have a smaller dog and therefore smaller crate than we have for Cooper
