So happy to see these posts about people being well and safe.

I live in Raleigh, NC. We're ok! Some people in our area lost power, but we did not. We only got some light rain, but that's it!!

I live in centra Jersey close to the coast... yikes was that a bad storm.  I was up all night worried about trees falling on the house, and loosing electricity, and a flooding basement if the elec. went off then no sump pump.  I put everything up high, so if the basement did flood I would not loose too much.  Of course after that both my neighbors have generators and said I could run a extension cord and plug into their generator to keep my sump pump going....all that work for nothing.  I found out during this storm that I have a leaky roof right over the dining room table !!!  Some water seeped into the basement but flowed right to the sump pump and NO trees down.  Lots of clean up thou !!!!   I never lost electric... it did not even flicker !!!  I'm glad because I cant live without my AC !!!!   The doodles were GREAT during the storm, Sasha was a little barky when the wind hit the house and made noise and my very calm Oliver.... well nothing bothers him.  All well and safe.
I'm glad that you and everyone else seems to have weathered the storm! I lost power for a few hours (in south Florida--apparently a tree hit a transformer and they're calling it "hurricane-related") and in the 80-percent humidity I missed my A/C very much. I hope everyone whose power is out gets it back soon!
Oh my, the inconvenience.  I am so glad you caught the roof situation before winter, though.  I'm glad your doggies were ok w/ the storm.  My dad, who lives in Fla, had a maltese who got frightened by a lightning strike when he was itty bitty and scared him for life.  And living in Fla was miserable.  That dog would shake, pant, cry.  So I am really proud that most of the doodles on DK seem to have taken this storm in stride.  You doods rule.
Thanks for posting this I was SO curious also! Glad you are all safe!

So Happy all are safe and sound.

We went camping again and hit the third tornado siren evacuation in a row!! My kids are becoming quite the storm survivalist. They hear the siren and fall into action. The youngest 6 thinks thatis what you do when you camp!! We have been seeking shelter at Petsmarts!!!

We met a wonderful family from Canada and what luck they had a 9month old golden doodle puppy!  Amante was in his glory!!! I invited them to join DK hope to see them soon!!!

Happy that DKers are okay!  I hope it stays that way!
So many from a lot of states have NOT signed on.
I was thinking that the people with the most damage are probably not signing in to DK to let us know how they are yet. Waiting to hear.
