Poodle or Doodle? Update!!

I found this little dog on PetFinder at a shelter near where I live.  She is listed as a poodle but the hair on her head is straight and her overall look really reminds me of Tara.

Little Peaches has found her hopefully furever home. Unfortunately, it is not with my neighbors:(. They were really interested in her but..you snooze you lose...

Ha ha ha - Yes I DO but DH is a holdout! Slowly breaking him down.

 

We actually want a Doodle Tara's size, Daisy seems to like them better than big ones.

I hadn't thought about a cockapoo but you're right some of them look a lot like ALD's.

Cockapoo came to my mind.  She is a cutie though!

She really is a cutie!  I wish they had put more info about her on PF.  I can't help but compare this to the DRC dogs that I have seen on the PF site!  Once I read about the DRC dogs I feel like I have all the information I need to know who that dog would be a match for.  This poor girl just got one or two sentences. It leaves a lot of unanswered questions.  Maybe they don't know anything more?

The public shelters usually don't know the dogs the way private rescues with dogs in foster homes do; the dogs are sitting in cages and depending on the facility, very few people interact with them other than to change their food & water, let them out, etc.  And the employees work for the county, town, or whatever municipality runs the shelter and probably don't have the authority, the time or the know-how to write up the PF listing descriptions.
