Hi.  We have a porch potty which is on a platform with a hood that is directly over the synthetic 4x3 base. It's open in front and back. We live in Oregon where it is wet, rainy and muddy from about late September or early October until June.  Our older dog Simba didn't like going potty out in the rain, and thats when we bought this. We put it away during the summer, and now it's back out. The new puppy Kenjon, who is 11 weeks is using.

My question is, do you think it's okay for both dogs to use the porch potty? I do pick up after every pooh, and rinse and wipe the whole thing down periodically.

Thanks so much.

Given that new puppies often have giardia, and in light of your recent post in the Food Group about Kenyon's having diarrhea, I'd either find some other solution to the potty issue, or I'd be pouring bleach over the "porch potty" on a daily basis, lol.

When I think of how many dogs pee and poo on each tree in my neighborhood, I really don't think it matters.

Regarding your post about diarrhea and Orijen, I know most dogs seem to do well on it but mine experienced the same diarrhea with no other symptoms for two weeks. We switched her to Acana which is more carbs relative to protein/fat and it stopped within a couple days. Same makers, just different macronutrient breakdowns.

Thanks so much Anita. I'll try changing to Acana.
