My younger brother just moved to Chile a week ago. He will be living there for two years, and he's started sending me photos and letters detailing where he lives. According to him, Chile has an outrageous amount of stray dogs. He said when you walk through town there are multiple packs with 5 or 6 dogs in each just hanging around. Most of them look like Labs or GSDs, but...
There is one dog in particular, who he sees every day and he sent me a picture because the pup reminds him of Darwin. He looks like a doodle... I wonder what he is? What do you think?
I told him to go ahead and send him to me. :-) He's really cute. I'm going to ask him to take more pictures.
It is interesting that they all look so well fed! I wonder if they are just people's pets who wander the neighborhood during the day and go home at night or something??
I would have a terrible time in a country like that! I would be bringing them all home!!
It seems like whenever we have roaming packs of dogs in this area they are looking for something to KILL!! :( Don't they have trouble with dog violence down there??
I just had a business associate get back from Russia, they have dogs on their streets as well....they are very friendly so they get fed, they are the 4 legged homeless....also a town in Italy where my daughters best friend was just this past summer had a lot of "street" dogs.
