For some reason Im having trouble changing my profile picture...I've taken and posted some new ADORABLE pictures of Lola..if I say so myself...and would like to update my profile picture...not that the one I have isn't tooo cute, but Lola's much bigger now!!!

What am I doing wrong???

The biggest mistake members making is not scrolling down to click " SAVE" ( usually found the bottom right at the end of the profile page)

Start there and let me know if that is the issue.

If not, we can troubleshoot from there.

Adina and Clark have made wonderful tutorials on how to navigate this site. Included are: how to post photos, (versus the link so many are posting these days), how to upload videos, make your own page more personal, etc.

It takes just a few minutes but it packed with easy to manage information. Not techy talk. Fun actually and you get to hear Adina's real voice

There is also a Group when you really want to specialize with graphics on your own pages. Personally, I think it should be called, Making My Own Page but its called Making Your Front Page

Hi,  I've been trying to change my profile picture too for a couple months. I go under edit profile picture and upload a new pic and it tries to upload and then I get this message

 "There was an error uploading your photo: Please try again. If you keep seeing this error, try another photo.   

 I have tried uploading a few different pic with different sizes with no luck.  Please help!

1. You can not upload from your phone.
2. What file extension is your image using? For example, if the file is doodle.bmp, DK does not accept that format. Make sure you have your image in .tiff .jpeg or .png
Most likely, it's your image file extension causing this problem. Convert the file ( save as a .jpeg)
3. What size is the image? This was never an issue for me, but it is not recommended.

Might I add that .jpegs don't work. 

.jpg is the correct format. I just tried changing my profile pic a million times too, but had to convert it to .jpg. After that, no problem at all.

The picture is being uploaded from my laptop.

It's a JPEG image file, size 1.81MB, dimensions.2448x3264

I have no trouble uploading photos to my page but just can't change the profile picture.

shelly, I pulled  Preson's picture  off this page to my desktop and clicked on my page, clicked on my profile picture where it says change my profile picture and loaded yours onto my profile.  I had no problem doing so.Try dragging the photo off your pictures and onto your desktop, then loading it from there. Maybe it makes the file smaller.    Be sure to  click on SAVE.

One of the things that drives me crazy is that people ask for advice or help, we spend a long period of time explaining, typing, researching, linking, and we never hear back!

Nancy and Joanne,  I'm not the one how started this post but have been trying to do the same thing she asked.  I'm trying to change my profile picture and still can't.  I'm trying all your suggestions.

Joanne, if you are on a computer this should work.  If you are on a phone or tablet, I know some things don't work.  Go to your profile pic on your page and hover over it. The words change photo show up.  click on that.  It will take you to a page where you can edit or change your photo.  I often pre-choose my photo and put drag it onto my desktop.  Click on Browse. Select a file. When it show up be sure to click on Save.  Let me know if this works or not.  I hop it does.  I drug (dragged?) Preston's picture from this page and onto my desktop.  I used that one to change my profile photo and is worked perfectly.  Try dragging this pic onto your desktop.
