In the same situation, I would definitely say both of my Doodles would be protective. I know that my mini (Guinness) would not become aggressive, but my standard (Murph) might if he thought there was a threat.
No, not in the least. Gavin would make the lousiest watch dog ever. He views any interloper as a potential playmate!
Mine would be hiding behind me as she often does, leaning very heavily on my legs. One of us can count on feeling protected anyway ! LOL
This is an addition to my other post on Finnley wouldn't protect me. Tonight I had the cardboard tube from an empty roll of wrapping paper. I said her name through it, and she was sacred, ran away, and actually tried to hide behind the cat ! So sad.....
Still laughing, Sheila! Hiding behind the cat...how low can a dog go...LOL
So true Pat, so true.... She is a pitiful doodle, and to make it look worse for her, the cat just walked away ! lol
That's hilarious!
Finnley is almost 18 months, and she weighs about 75 lbs. She is always ready to play, so that is why I thought she would see the empty paper roll as big fun. Big fun, I think not... more like Big chicken !
