Puppy Brush

I am looking for suggestions on brushes for puppy.  

I used a generic metal bristle brush (that we have always used on our older straight-coat pup) and puppy LOVED being brushed :).

He is only 8 weeks so doesn't require much right now but I want him to get used to being brushed.  The curly coat is new to me and I am a bit nervous about it.  Is there a starter brush you recommend?  I just don't want him to develop matts and me not realize it!

For little puppies you can use anything. Different brushes are good for different coats.  Your pup looks like he is going to be pretty curly.  I use the Activet green slicker on my curly doodle.
